Well, this is somewhat of an open ended question. What my version of living the dream looks like may be completely different than your version.
But have you really thought about it? What living the dream is to you?
When I reflect back on my years and I think about the times in my life that I have been the most happy, the most inspired, and the most engaged, it has been during my times of travel.
To me travel brings with it the best type of freedom, knowledge and adventure that you can ever attain. Through travel, you learn new ways of doing things, you gain new perspectives, and best of all, you gain a better understanding of who you are and who you want to be.
So how can I fit travel into my into my current reality?
The first step is to actually believe in yourself and believe that your dreams can become your reality. Get rid of your plan B and stop asking yourself “What If”. There is always an answer to that question so just get rid of it!
Believe in yourself and don’t listen to what others think. When you make a decision to change your life, some people may question you. But the only reason they do this is because they are either in envy that you have the courage and strength to change your life, or they are questioning the direction they chose to take in life.
The second step is to make the decision. You need to consciously make the decision that you are going to change your life and do whatever it takes to live your dream. Get rid of all excuses and let that decision be the driving force in all of your days.
Finally, just do it! Act upon your dream and your decisions and I promise, you will never look back.
Two friends of mine made a decision 90 days ago that they were going to move to Bali Indonesia.
Guess what they did? The believed in themselves, they made the decision, and they acted upon their goal.
I have always wanted to travel the world and my husband has been talking to me about moving to Costa Rica for over a year.
I finally started to believe in his dream and in my goal and made the decision to move to Costa Rica for a few months and then travel the world. We are leaving on 12/27/2013 and already have a place to stay.
So here you have it; my version of my dream life. You see, once you get your mind straight and start thinking with abundance and get rid of the “What If’s”, you can start living the life of your dreams.
It’s time to get rid of your “Plan B” and start living your life on your own terms. No more making excuses because of your situation and circumstances.
It’s time to start living your life the way you’ve always dreamed of living it!
